Black-Marketing of R-JioThe cards are priced between Rs 300-600, some sellers are offering 'bulk' buys.
Today, when my eyes glimpses on the front page of the Business Line, it stroked on the most popular news in technological world of present time. The above headline made me to think whether are we really in good days what our PM said once????
This ? mark took place in many Indians as the situation is getting reversed. This is evident with these types of news making front page headlines in nation's leading newspapers.

Now, what was really under the headline of the newspaper which made me to write this blog wasting my some precious time??
Multi-retail outlets in and around Delhi are selling the Jio SIM in black for anywhere for Rs.300-600. Within 500 meters, there are so many shops in our locality which are bargaining, the sellers are even ready to charge a lower amount, provided it as a bulk purchase. One is getting free calls and unlimited internet for the next three months (till Dec,16) at just Rs.600, so why not? people will pay as much price as seller demands. The sim card was announced to be provided free of cost at any R-Digital store but because of the hassle, it is getting difficult to purchase. Due to long line and more demands which results in shortage of stocks sometime people return without sim after waiting for long time, wasting their precious time. This could be the one of the reason for black-marketing. Another reason could be the mandatory documents to avail the sim. This also creates so much problem to customers as Aadhar is mandatory for the offer. Because the people have 4G sim but no Aadhar. Technically, the sellers are performing all the Know Your Customer (KYC) norms to provide the SIM (excepting instance connections based in Aadhar bio-metrics or eKYC).
Now the question comes to every reader's mind that,"whether the Reliance Info-comm know about this???
Similar instances were reported before the commercial launch (Sep,05) also.
BusinessLine's inquiries with Reliance Jio on the issue remained unanswered despite repeated reminders. According to Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI) guidelines, while SIM cards can be purchased on the basis of ID proof and address proof from any retail outlet, the application is then forwarded to the company (in this case,Rjio). After due diligence, such as verification of the residential address, the SIM is activated. In the case of eKYC, the SIM is activated within a few hours of giving bio-metrics based on the aadhar number match (once the person's details are approved with the data-base).
